Every time I make the effort to go to my nearest music store, support the High Street market place and all that, they don't have the brand or guage of strings I want. I end up buying the next nearest thing, for about 6.50 a pack. Strings Direct have the D'Addario strings I use in stock regularly, offer a multipack buy that makes the price per-set less than a fiver (even with postage), and get your purchace to you within 2 or 3 days. For me it's a no-brainer, I get a better service for less: less money and less inconvenience. That's why the "High Street" is going down the drain. They can't compete. Sad for communitees but true nevertheless.
