I ordered a vanity unit online. The web page told me that the delivery would be between 3 and 5 working days. Although I promptly received an e-mail detailing my order it didn't actually state a delivery date. Therefore I phoned 4bathrooms to ask about delivery and was told it would be between 3 and 5 days but that I would receive a phone call and then be able to organise a mutually convenient delivery time - this would have been very acceptable service. BUT Lo and behold I received a phone call the very next day to say my unit would be delivered in 15mins!! As it turned out I was actually off work that day so it didn't pose a problem but I would normally have found it very inconvenient to be informed of a delivery at such short notice. Also the delivery man refused to bring the item inside the house. I explained that I was a female on my own and that there was no way I could lift the item inside. So the upshot is that my item has been lying outside in all weathers for a week now. I gather this problem is something to do with delivery people not being insured for damage done inside the property but I must say that had I known about this then there's no way I would have placed an order with you.
