I have been regularly been using Myhermes for about 3months now as I have a small business and not had any problems apart from them being late pick-ups. My items have always been carefully packaged using copious amounts of bubble wrap and placing them into boxes or bubble wrap envelopes. In the past 24hours I have had two separate items smashed to smithereens (according to MyHermes). The driver knocked on door and told the receiver NOT TO ACCEPT THE ITEM AS IT WAS BROKEN!! Can someone tell me how the hell would he know if its "smashed to smithereens" unless he had x-ray vision??? How did he know it wasnt the cake-stand fittings that were making the noise as the packaging was in perfect condition. After contacting a very non-responsive Myhermes advisor on web chat who could answer none of my questions and told to call me tomorrow after I have spoken to the delivery driver!!
NEVER USE MYHERMES AGAIN, GOING BACK TO ROYAL MAIL. EXPENSIVE BUT SOMETIMES ITS WORTH PAYING THAT LITTLE BIT MORE FOR PIECE OF MIND, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A GOOD SERVICE.
