Poor service, though the delivery was quite prompt

I ordered a cloakroom suite of toilet and wash basin. When it arrived the delivery man refused to take the large palate away and left before the item could be checked. The toilet was completely broken in pieces. It did not have adequate packing to protect it. A replacement was requested, but they refused to remove the broken toilet when it was replaced with the new one. The reason given was because there was a risk of the delivery man being harmed. Apparently it's ok for customers to have this risk. Removing the palate was difficult, being too heavy to lift, and I had to have help to remove it. It is very unlikely that I will use Better bathrooms again

I am sorry to hear of your experience with our courier company; the driver HAS to provide you with 20 minutes to allow you to check the number of items match the delivery note; if he does not you are perfectly within your right to refuse the delivery. In terms of the packaging, the items are packaged to suit the method of transportation; in this case, a pallet was imperative due to the nature of the product material. That said, the driver should have advised you at the time of the delivery that he would have taken the pallet away for you if the goods had been off loaded there and then. He should also have taken away the damaged item and I will take up your salient points with the courier directly.
I note the damaged items have been replaced and I do hope they arrived safely.
