I have nothing but good things to say about the AA. This is one of the best companies in Ireland in terms of customer service. They are really quick to get out to you - warn you if they're going to be late. I was particularly impressed, when, in the Irish rain, the mechanic noticed while he was boosting my battery, that one of my tires was slightly flat and pumped it up!
I rang and signed up to UPC to get Broadband. Never arrived. Rang them again - they said I needed to provide proof of ID and address and the order had been cancelled. Had already given them proof of ID and address after my first call. They apologised and said I was right. Order never arrived again. Logged onto courier site. Had been cancelled. Rang UPC. Said they were awaiting ID and proof of address! Explained again that I'd already provided it. Then the woman said indeed I was right. I'm now waiting on it again.
So glad I asked for it to be delivered to work as I would have wasted 2 half days waiting for UPC to arrive.
I just want to note that the customer service reps were all really nice and apologetic. My frustration is with whatever customer service system they use - if I had been notified that the orders had been cancelled I could have easily just rang and told them and sorted it. They were waiting for me to contact them, having not told me they needed me to! 3 times!
