I had to change my return ferry booking from Larne to Cairnryan at short notice, bringing it forward from 24 Nov 2102 to 23 Nov. In their terms & conditions AFerry stated that a minimum charge of £25 may be applied for alterations.
I was DISGUSTED to be charged £45, especially when I found that the ship was barely half full. That was almost half of my weekly pension gone for the sake of blatant profiteering. It took them all of 2 minutes maximum to make the change. Unfortunately I had no alternative but to pay the charge as a family emergency had arisen at home.
AFERRY -- YOU SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES TREATING PENSIONERS (ONE SEVERELY DISABLED, BY THE WAY) LIKE THIS. DO THE DECENT THING AND AT LEAST REFUND SOME OF THIS SCANDALOUS CHARGE.
