It’s taken me quite a while to write a review of my horrendous experience of dealing with Waltons garden buildings, due to the fact I wanted to give them plenty of time to honor a promise to return some paper work to me.
I believe 6 months is enough time and as I have neither heard from Waltons on the matter or received the a fore mentioned paperwork here is my review.
I purchased a 10X6 metal shed from Waltons in May of this year via the website and delivery was prompt as promised.
After dismantling my old unsafe shed and storing its contents as best I could in my house I read all the instructions in the boxes and began assembly of my shed.
After assembling just 2-3 panels I slashed open the side of my hand on a razor sharp edge on one of the panels.
I of course contacted Waltons by telephone I was assured that a manager would ring me back which did not happen, so after a couple of days I emailed Waltons and told them what had happened.
I was then contacted by [Name] Waltons Web Site Sales Supervisor who said she was sorry I had suffered a cut to my hand but I should have read the safety instructions regarding the wearing of gloves eye protection etc because of sharp edges on the product.
NOWHERE IN MY INSTRUCTION BOOK WHERE THERE ANY SAFETY INSTRUCTION OF ANY SORT OR WARNINGS ABOUT THE NEED TO WEAR GLOVES
[Name] then sent me a PDF of the shed instructions, exactly the same as my copy except for the 2 blank pages in my copy that had safety instruction on in hers.
After many emails telling me I should have read the instructions I did not have I agreed to send my copy of the instructions to Ms Ellis on the understanding they were returned to me.
After 6 months I still have not received them I was offered a take it or leave it £50 for my trouble and since I was stupid enough to trust Waltons with the faulty instructions that strangely enough disappeared I accepted and have heard no more from [Name] or the company and never have seen my instructions again.
My advice DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
