I would advise you not to use La Redoute. Their products are nice so it is a shame that their service is so bad. The auto-response you receive after you've sent them an email is a clue; they promise a response "within seven days"!! Have you ever heard anything like it? Do they want our business?!
I have found them horrifying to use in the past, but the past few weeks are really the last straw. They've cancelled items from my order as they are out of stock. So then why are they advertised on the website? And more to the point, why have I not been informed that the items have been cancelled? It seems courteous. They take weeks on end to post things out to you, and then do not inform you when the items have been posted either. You are left to play both the waiting and the guessing game. What fun. Their website is also poorly designed and gives little indication as to what the status is with your order, so you have to email them.
Which brings me to the worst of it. They don't respond to emails. I have now sent them around 4-5 emails about my order, enquiring about its status and then asking for it to be cancelled completely. The first couple were polite, but I haven't held back on telling them how annoyed I am in the more recent ones! You'd think that might make them pull their fingers out, the fact that ones of their customers is extremely irritated with them? Nope! Still no response.
Their website, as I've mentioned, is really no good and is not easy to navigate. Another annoyance is that they advertise and send you all these promotional codes and discounts to entice you, but none of the codes are valid for any of the items listed!! Seriously, I have never yet managed to find an item that was eligible for the advertised discounts and I've tried to use them many times.
I will be closing my account as soon as my latest order is sorted out, however long that make take. Wish me luck.
