After trying one of the other options and being let down I got an online quote from Orange for my Desire HD. I liked the quote and ordered the free return envelope which arrived very promptly. After sending my phone off I received the quoted amount into my account within 2 weeks including testing.
The quote from website was £75. After relieving my phone they offered me £25 which I rejected. They then offered me £35 which I again rejected. They informed me that my volume button was faulty and didn't meet the required standards as set out in their T&C's. I checked their T&C's and it says as long as all buttons do what they are suppose to do then your quote will stand. Apart from being VERY SLIGHTLY loose (which it is anyway on my phone even when new) the volume still works perfectly.
