My Vectra c's airbag warning light came on. Next year this will mean an MOT failure.
I bought an Opcom device to connect a laptop to the car and diagnosed the problem as a faulty Airbag ecu.
A new airbag ecu on the web is £360, and to have the job done by a dealer was £500+. I found a used one through Parts Gateway for £40, delivered. The supplier was very helpful as there was a little confusion with new part numbers replacing old.
The part is now fitted and I no longer have dreaded warning light .
