I recently purchased an iPad case through Wowcher, which on the face of it at least, was a good deal. However when the item was delivered (£4.95 for an A4 envelope which no protection for the item inside) it was damaged. Not only was it damaged it looked like a factory second and was covered in scratches but most importantly it was not a case but a keyboard so had been falsely advertised and was completely useless to me, even before you consider the condition of the item on arrival. I immediately emailed Wowcher to request a refund and received a generic reply absolving them of any responsibility. I sent a response and got another generic 'cut and paste' job that didn't even relate to my complaint, which is incredibly poor form from Wowcher, again saying that it was nothing to do with them as they only advertise on behalf of the merchants and I should have taken it up with them when I 'visited their premises'?????I'm still waiting for a response from the merchant four working days later and doubt I'll actually get one. I will never use Wowcher again and will tell as many people as possible to avoid them like the plague if this is the contempt with which they hold their customers. I would suggest they take more ownership over customer issues and indeed work with customers to recover monies paid rather than just washing their hands of the problem.
