We went to Dreams to treat ourselves to a new mattress and to buy our daughter a new bed. We chose to go to the local store so that we could lie down on all the matresses and see what we were buying. The staff were polite and helpful and full of information even though you could see that it was mostly sales patter.
We ordered a mattress and it arrived on the day arranged, all very smooth. However when using it we found it much too hard. Luckily Dreams have a comfort guarantee where you can actually change a mattress after you have tried it for 30 days. We took them up on this and it couldn't be smoother: we went to the shop and chose another, arranged the swap by telephone and paid the difference. We even saved money because the price of the replacement model had come down inthe 30 days. Delivery was again exactly as promised and the new mattress is great.
Dreams are not perfect: for example, arranging the original delivery was complicated because we ordered our daughter's bed later the same day and their 'system' couldn't deal with adding it to the same delivery; her bed arrived with a bit missing (a quick call and it was in the post to us in a couple of days); the 'sale' comparison prices are a bit suspicious....but you can't compare because the mattress modesl all seem to be "exclusive".
But for us, the 30 day guarantee saved us £100's because we couldn't have kept the first mattress.
