Good product. Delivery awful

It is always frustrating to have a big delivery window so was really nice when driver called and said would be with me writhin the hour.
I did appreciate that.
He arrived waving a piece of paper that I had to sign.
Asked where bed was going. I said top floor of my house to which he repled I can only take to the first floor. He pointed to paper and waved it.
I said that was not made clear and he said its all on this paper.
I was never trying to trick delivery company but surely I want the bed in the bedroom not stuck on a landing?
If there are delivery restrictions they should be made very clear.
He then said I will look at where you want to put the bed and make a decision.
I showed him and he said as long as the bed is not too heavy fine.
Only a single so he said he was happy to take to the top of the house.
He advised me to take paintings off wall as not responsible for damage. Glad I did as this guy had a blatant disregard for anything nice.
He took bed up but was a rainy day and despite wiping his feet walked mud up the whole house.
Every stair and all over the landings.
Particularly annoying as had just had carpets cleaned.
When he left I said thank you for taking bed to top but you have walked mud throughout my house.
He said, waving piece of paper, it says here. You should have covered your carpets then.
I would be mortified to make one mark on someone's carpet.
He trashed every stair and landing and didn't give a damn.
I am staggered.
I will have to spend £100 minimum getting stairs and landing cleaned again. That is half the cost of the bed.
Why do you and your delivery company not care if you trash people's houses?
WHY DO THEY NOT WEAR PLASTIC OVERSHOES?
Why is your priority not to leave someone's home as you found it?
I look forward to hearing from you as it has tainted my view of the product

Firstly we’re very sorry to hear about your experience, we do care about our customers.
We have been offering free kerbside delivery for a number of years and recently upgraded to a free room of choice service for our customers. This has so far proved to be very well appreciated.

We always strive to offer a reasonable and economical service to our customers. An even higher level of service through a furniture removal company could easily cost more than the value of the goods ordered. These costs would then have to be passed onto our customers.

We’re sorry you didn’t contact us regarding your experience directly so we could have resolved the situation; however we will be investigating your experience thoroughly.
