This was not the first time that I have used Interparcel and previous experiences have been good.
However, this time I booked for a parcel to be collected and was given a collection time of 09:00 to 18:00. My company closes normally at 16:00 so I stayed on to ensure that the parcel was collected. By 17:30 I was getting a bit worried so tried to call Interpacel. Their phone lines close at 17:00 so there is no way of chasing up an order out of hours. The courier didn't collect, so I ended up putting the parcel in my car and driving it to my customers the next morning. This involved my getting up at 05:00, driving a 250 mile round trip, the additional cost of fuel, and all so that my customer could get their parcel on time.
I asked for a refund and was told it would be made. IIt took a further two weeks and two emails for this to happen.
Whilst I accept that couriers are beyond the control of Interparcel, it would be much better if you could contact them beyond 17:00 to chase orders.
