My wife and I ordered a TV from Argos and we experienced no problems with that. However we took out an Argos Card at the same time and the TV was paid via that. I paid the first installment at my bank and all was well. A call 2 weeks later revealed they could not find the payment. I sent confirmation Recorded Delivery. 2 weeks later another call "we've not received your first payment". Sent a new copy. A few weeks later a letter about Court Action for non-Payment. Several phone calls later (several being necessary as the previous ones were not actioned) and yet another threatening letter arrives. Our Credit worthiness has now been affected.
I write a formal letter of complaint. After some 3 months and 2 dozen phone calls the matter is resolved.
My wife and I would not touch Argos with a barge pole after this "fun".
