What Customer Service SHOULD be

Initially, I intended to buy my hifi from one of the local (Scottish) hifi shops, but on researching the components, I came across Audio Affair who were offering competitive rates.

I mailed them a question.

John emailed back, and asked if he could ring me, and we arranged a time. When he rang, I felt immediately that this chap genuinely wanted to listen to me, to ensure that I ended up with a system which would suit me perfectly. How wonderful, these days, to find such a person!

Once the basics had been sorted out, John and I emailed almost daily. I was kept informed of exactly what was happening, and much valuable advice was given to me. Any worries or questions I had were explained clearly and kindly.

The eagerly awaited system arrived on time. The turntable and phono stage had already been set up before they left the shop: another thoughtful action. Everything was as it should be, and worked straight out of the box. A marvellous system indeed,

Audio Affair is, in my opinion, the model which sets the standard for customer service, and which others should strive to emulate.

I should especially like to thank John for the care he took over my purchase, and for proving to me that excellent customer service does, in fact, still exist.
