I've bought two guitars from GAK over the last couple of months. An Epiphone Les Paul Ltd Edition bass with a hard case and a nylon strung Fender CN 240SCE thinline. Both guitars arrived quickly and without any damage. You can't seem to check stock on-line which other sites do, so I just checked by phone first then placed the order with the guy on the phone. Friendly and helpful. Also, images on the website are a bit small and limited. I ended up browsing a broader range of images on other websites like Thomann before settling to buy from GAK largely due to price, availability and the fact that Thomann are based on the continent with a week long shipment estimate. It'd probably arrive fine but once the orders made, I'd like it next day if possible. I've previously been a little wary of buying kit like guitars online. I much prefer to try before buying. However, I was after a specific les paul bass and couldn't find one anywhere to try (thats ltd edition for you) so I bit the bullet and bought it online from GAK. If there was any damage or if I didn't like, I could return straight away so that's just the way it has to be if you can't try out in a showroom first. I think online stores are fully aware of this. Anyway, it was really well packed. I'd bought the hard case from GAK also as I was hoping it could be put in there for safe delivery but the firm is so big that that didn't happen. They arrived separately in the same van! No problem though and tracking info' was good. Arrived by Fedex which I think are a good firm. Guitar itself is nice. It needs a fair bit of adjusting, truss rod, nut height, bridge height, intonation etc which all seem quite a bit out for a piece of kit straight from the factory but that's not GAK's fault. I know it's not a high end guitar but come on Epiphone. You need someone on the end of the line who can do a decent set up. Fender thinline also arrived in good condition. Strings need changing right off the bat but again that's a Fender issue.
