I received a text on the 3rd Dec, telling me that my parcel was due for delivery on the 4th. It then gave me the option of changing the delivery date, which i did and requested the 6th Dec. I received a text back confirming that it would be delivered on the 6th and I would be able to view my delivery time slot on the morning of the 6th.
All seemed like a good service at this point.
The 6th came, no time slot on the tracking page, although it did confirm delivery for that day. Stayed in all day, parcel never arrived. Today the 7th, i have checked the tracking page, still says delivery confirmed for the 6th. I have emailed customer services. NO REPLY yet. I have tried the telephone number and got an automated system. However when asked for the parcel number, IT DOESNT RECOGNISE IT. Even though this same number is recognised through the website. Am i getting a redelivery today? Who knows, as the website says its for delivery on the 6th which has come and gone. Have they lost it? Is it sitting in the warehouse. All i know is i Paid £400 for an item which may or may not be delivered. I understand that this is a very busy time of the year for couriers, but i cant be expected to be sat around for days on end in the hope it is going to arive, especially when i requested for a day i knew i would be in to sign for it. Why have a customer service department where you give no customer service. I will now have to contact the supplier, cancel the order, request a refund and then go and buy said item from the shop as it was for a present to be given on the 8th. Well done DPD,
