Parcelmonkey

Never again

I used them to send back a shower quadrant that was no good for what I needed, the supplier was going to give me a full refund when I sent the item back. When the item reached the supplier is was damaged. So the would not accept it and Is was going to be returned to me. This never happened as it was put in a skip without any discussion with me. At the time of booking the delivery I was sold insurance and Parcel Monkey were fully aware of what the item was, also when the driver picked up the item there was a very detailed picture on the box. I tried to claim via the insurance and surprise surprise I was told that the item is on the prohibited list in their Terms and Conditions so I was not covered. This seemed strange given that they sold me the insurance and they knew what the item was as per the invoice.I have made many contacts with them and all have been given the same response they hide behind their T&C on every occasion. When I contacted the number given for support I ended up speaking to the service provider who did agree. With my complaint and informed me that they have had a lot of trouble with Parcel Monkey and said they would forward my details on to the claims manager Kevin. As per normal he followed the standard reply. I was offered the return of the insurance cost £2 (what an insult) at a later stage the offered me the total shipping cost of £54.45 another insult.I was told that I should not be contacting the service provider but strange that is the number given to me on their web site for support. To date I am £300 out of pocket and they have disposed of my item without any discussion with me. It now looks that after being reasonable I will have no option but to take the advice of my legal adviser and the trading standards officer who stated that PM are at fault under the Supply of Goods & Services Act 1982. It seems that as with many companies these days PM are quick to take your money but tend to hide behind things like T&C when they can, I shall never use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone, worse possible service and customer care ever. Its just a shame I had to tick 1 star as none would have better.
