Ordering the Yale Door from the site is a reasonably intuitive process, and works out fairly well. Staff in the Yale call center are kind and very helpful, which is great (and not to be taken for granted).
The things I found less than ideal were that often if there is an issue between delivery or fitting, Yale or Evander (the third-party fitter) will blame each other. For example:
• The Yale site will offer you express service, which is 'under-21 days' and '12 days faster' than the 21 day service. So that's within 9 days. However, if Evander don't have availability to fit this, you won't be told until you've already paid the full amount. I had to request a refund for the difference, being told that it was due to Evander that this was an issue.
• The Yale site will offer you a date picker for when you want your door fitted. This has nothing to do with Evander's availability to fit the door, and as such sets the customer's expectations completely incorrectly. In reality, my door was fitted a week and a half after my chosen date on the Yale site. If they can't fulfil it, they shouldn't offer it.
So, with those kinks aside, the whole thing was fine. On the day of fitting the guys are great, apart from explaining to me their personal preferences for door handles and how I'd chosen the wrong one (seriously, shut up and fit the door). All in all a good service with the usual service partnership hook ups, but I would definitely recommend.
