I am sorry to say that this last weekend was ruined by Laterooms @;(
A treat for a very fussy mother started to go wrong when we arrived at the bed and breakfast only to find a lonesome cleaner! We were told that as no booking had been received, that the owners had gone away. I explained that I had booked over a week ago, and was told that Laterooms had recently had in-house problems and bookings had not been sent out to accommodations, so nothing had been received.
She was a very helpful cleaner, and did offer to prepare a room, however, explained that it would take some time as it had been fully booked the night before. My mother was not impressed looking around a messy bedroom, so I had to leave and find elsewhere for her to stay.
This was to have been a Christmas treat for my mother, but it ended up being an awful experience.
It's a pity that when you had the melt down, that you couldn't have told your customers of the potential problems, and again, especially after this, I think it imperative that a confirmation booking email be sent out from the hotel/b & b, as if this had been the case and I had not received an email, I would have rung ahead to see if there was a problem. I did receive a confirmation email from you, but this did not help or avoid the problem.
