I was speaking to a friend this morning and this is what I and she were talking about...
1. There is too much grabby mentality on display- phone numbers that are charged 10 or more just to talk to you. What happened to old fashioned looking after your customers?? £75 to change a booking. How can that ever be justified?
2. There is a lack of humanness in policies. They are aimed at making as much monety as possible...tread on a few egg shell (or a lot of them), who cares!! AS long as coffers are filled.
3. Hiding behind "company policies" make this sound as though company policies are akin to divine law! Who are these people who make these company policies that aimm to rake in as much as possible for their own bonuses.
It is sad , not just your company, just thye way we have come to be in this corporate world-mind-less and soul-less.
There is no adequate relating with the othrer person as a person. I am not talking about manners/etiquettes. I am alluding to how human spirit really moves through accomodating, giving and receiving, helping and being compassinate. Your staff are like puppets, seem quite dis-empowered by "company policies". They are polite enough but they come over as quite helpless and limited by what they can and can't do.
If good people don't speak bad things happen.
