We have had nothing but problems from the Telford Branch of Currys/PC World. Everytime we go in there seems to be some problem. My sister bought a laptop from them, paid in cash, got it home and opened it up to charge it only to find that the laptop battery was missing! Went back to the store and asked a memeber of staff for help in locating said battery, only to be told that it was a display model and that the battery had probably been stolen, but we could buy a new battery for £80!! Absolutely disgusting service; we asked to speak to the manager of the store to see if they would give us the battery that should have been included, but after a 4 hour wait in store being messed about we demanded a refund and bought the laptop from Tesco instead.
This time round we've ordered and paid for an external harddrive (pay and collect service). We specified that we wanted next day delivery to the Telford Store for collection after 5pm. Product was ordered at 1pm on 11/12/12 and was due for collection after 5pm on 12/12/12. Recieved an email stating that the product had been dispatched to the store on the tuesday, so went in on the wednesday to collect only to be told that they have the item but it is not in my name, despite me showing them the order! They have told me to wait for an email to confirm it has arrived in store, and I am still waiting. What is the point of being able to specify a delivery date/time if they're not going to even try and meet that deadline? Rude staff, unhelpful and a badly run company. Shall not be shopping with Curry's ever again!
