Great concept!

This is a great idea, especially if you're a body-builder like myself and eat a lot of meat. However, this company is let down one two points.
1) They use Yodel (Home Delivery Network) for delivery. Notoriously known for bad service (they were dropped by Amazon because of this). And in my experience of my first order they failed to deliver on the day it was due, the package went out for delivery and was returned to the depot without reason, so it sat in a warm warehouse all evening. The package was delivered the next day.
2) The packaging really isn't sufficient for transporting fresh meats. They line a box with form board and a bag of ice cubes, stating this will keep it fresh for up to 72 hours (well not in my case). I order meat from a different company and they pack it correctly (in a sealed polystyrene box with dry ice.
The customer service from Muscle Food has been excellent. They promptly refunded me my payment after I had advised them of the situation
I would definitely use them again but only if/when they change to a better courier such as DPD and improve their chilling methods.

Thanks for your feedback, I can advise that we are currently looking at alternative courier companies to help improve our service. We have approached DPD however they won't deliver fresh produce, so we are currently in talks with two other companies. Test have been performed on the packaging we use and we have found that it will keep the contents fresh for up to 72 hours. I'm sorry this wasn't the case with your order.

I ordered a delivery of fresh chicken from <external link removed>, my heart shank when I had my order confirmation which stated Yodel would be delivering it! The reason for my disappointment was down to two previous deliveries from Yodel (from two separate companies, to two different addresses in the UK (one in London and one in the Midlands), both of which they lost! The one order was later found at the wrong delivery centre and they showed no flexibility in fixing their mess up! So you can see I started with low expectations. Back to my delivery due yesterday - I waited in all day, no one came, no phone call, no calling card left. I then see on their tracking system they returned my package back to their depot! I tried calling them at 7pm only to be waiting on hold for over 45 mins! So by the time I get my package the dry ice keeping the chicken fresh will have evaporated leaving my chicken off! Yodel are damaging to any company that use them. I've advised <external link removed> that I will not use them again unless they change to someone much better such as <external link removed>, who are excellent!
