SCAM £30 OFFER !!!

I am discussed with this company, I had an offer come through the post, spend £60 and get £30 credited back to your account!!
So I thought great, I had not used them for a while as had an issue with there buy now pay later scheme but that's another story!! Anyway ordered some Christmas presents to the value of the £60. I had brought this police winter hat for my partner. it came it looked really small so I gave it to him to try on, (this hat only comes in one size) and it was too small as I though!
So I called Very up asking to send the hat back, to find out if I sent it back the £30 special offer would be void? And I would get charged the full amount, they would not even exchange it for the something the same value, I was fuming!! How many times have you brought something and its not been right? I feel so sorry for those people who had the offer as me and just sent it back without calling, then having a big shock when there bill came in,,, I think this is a massive SCAM and this company should no be aloud to keep getting away with it. I'm going to the ombudsman to see what they have to say about there shocking schemes / offers / customer service!! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
