The worst I've experienced

As many others have said on here, I ordered a parcel through a clothing company - Topman, as a christmas present and a week later it still hadnt arrived despite being dispatched Topman's end.
So logging onto my myhermes tracker I found it had been 'Delivered to Outbuilding' so I searched everywhere around the outside of my house and even asked the builders we had in, who said no one had delivered anything.
Over 2 weeks later, still no parcel and Topman have finally had to give me a refund as myhermes are telling them it was delivered and there is nothing they can do and it is no longer in stock.

Why are companies using them?!
