If you are planning on using this service for ebay sales, DON'T! They are not reliable for collection OR delivery dates and as above sometimes severely damaged items delivered. They are OK for non critical items, low value items to family and friends who don't mind them taking a week for a 2 day service. Just don't rely on them to deliver high value items on time if you sell on ebay as you are sure to get into bother.
It's worth noting these two little gems from myhermes T+Cs:-
"4.1 If you require, we, or our Agent, will sign a document prepared
by you acknowledging receipt of a Parcel,
but this document is not evidence of:
4.1.1 the condition of the Parcel;
4.1.2 its contents;
7.9 We provide a tracking facility to allow you to monitor
our performance of the Services.
This facility is not part of the Contract and we are under no obligation to provide it.
We provide no warranties as to the accuracy of the tracking facility
and it is provided on an “as is" basis and for indicative purposes only."
"Performance of the Services" sounds like either the last rites or the local panto, or maybe a combination of the two!
ps Right at the end of the T+Cs (where else?)
