Garden XL were very easy to deal with, and had the product that I wanted at a really great price, and both their website and telephone service were great. However they use Parcel Force as their delivery company. Parcel Force will only tell you the day the parcel will arrive, and from their website and Garden XL there is some confusion as to when this time slot begins. You can track your parcel, but this proved to be not much use as even when the parcel is 'loaded for delivery' it failed to turn up two days running. Not even being able to say whether the parcel would arrive am or pm meant that for three days I had to stay at home to wait, and that isn't practical if you don't work from home like I do. Unlike normal royal mail deliveries, if the parcel is missed you can't just collect it from the post office; you have to rearrange the delivery for a whole new day and start the process again!
I'd recommend GardenXL firmly, but be aware the delivery service may be a complete pain in the backside.
Havens offered a great selection of products and although I was initially unimpressed with the cost of delivery (having become quite used to low/no cost deliveries through Amazon), the delivery company they use are fantastic. They send you lots of messages to let you know when they're going to deliver, and you can easily change your delivery date with a single text. In addition they text you to give you an hour-long delivery slot - my order turned up bang on the beginning of the hour.
