Quick delivery of items

Good selection of products for all types of pet, we were told about vet medic when we picked our puppy up, by the breeder, flea treatments cheaper , with fast delivery , can someone tell me why my vet wants £12 for a prescription for one lot of treatment, for example frontline spray?
