Massively overpriced environmentally unfriendly posage/packaging

I ordered 2 tiny packs of elastic bungee hair bands @ £3.90 each, a total order of £7.80. The postage for something so small that it could have been slipped in a small envelope but was for some reason shipped in a hugely out of proportion cardboard box was an extortionate £4.95!
What a waste of packaging and what a hugely inflated cost for something completely unnecessary.
This is not on when sites such as Amazon can in the main offer free postage. Put me off ordering from this site again.
