After a great instore demonstration I bought a Husqvarna Viking H 600E. I wasn't able to see it doing embroidery as the soft ware needs to be loaded onto a computer, and as this was the first one sold by the company, it was only opened when I asked to see it. It made a bit of a strange clicking noise at first but after the needle plate had been adjusted it seemed fine. However, when I got it home and started to embroider with it I had lots of problems. It kept saying that the needle thread was broken when it wasn't, then it tangled all the thread up and broke the needle. When I finally managed to unravel it the bobbin was out of place. I put it back and thought no more about it. I tried again the next day with the same result - it broke a needle and bent another one. This time I noticed that the bobbin case was out of place. When I tried to put it back I realized that it wasn't lined up correctly and there was nothing holding the bobbin case in place.
I returned the machine the next day and could not have wished for better service. I explained what had happened and was immediately offered a replacement. No messing, no arguing and an apology! When I said I had lost faith in the brand, I was shown other machines that fit my requirements and encouraged to exchange for a different brand. The machine I exchanged for was then demonstrated fully and I was encouraged to try it myself.
I am now the proud owner of a Brother Innov-is 1500 which I love! I played with it all afternoon and so far it hasn't put a stitch wrong.
This is a fantastic company to deal with and i would strongly recommend them to anyone. In fact I would travel from anywhere in the country if I wanted to replace my machine again.
