I purchased a Ladies Berghaus 60L backpack. It arrived really quickly and I was kept fully updated at all times. The bag was exactly as described and seems really comfortable so I'm really happy with the purchase! Overall great product and service!
I have ordered from Missguided quite a few times and only noticed all these negative reviews when I had my first bad experience of the site the other day. I thought i would give another side to all the rants as the reviews expressed are probably a bit one sided - people tend to comment only when they have a problem, not when everything goes smoothly. So anyway I thought I would set out some of the pros and cons of my experiences below...
NEXT DAY DELIVERY
So generally Missguided is super cheap and has a massive range of clothes. They also regularly offer free delivery and have deals going on. I think you have to take the 'Next Day Delivery' offers with a pinch of salt... They do not always deliver to it, which I agree they should. It would be seriously annoying if you needed a dress or something for the next day and it just didn't arrive. However I NEVER rely on this because i dont think next day delivery can ever be guaranteed. I have experienced problems with so many websites that promise next day delivery. The fact of the matter is that as soon as they offer the deal they get thousands of orders and they just don't have the capacity to cope (obviously they shouldn't be offering next day delivery if they can't comply but who knows how many issues they will come across - maybe 95% of people who order do get it the next day).
The website is terrible I have to say. It crashes and I have had so many problems with things saying they are in stock and then they won't go into your basket. I think the focus of this company is quantity of purchases - it doesn't seem like they have invested much in their website.
My first real issue with Missguided was last week when I went to buy 3 blouses and it said the transaction had timed out. I therefore went through the process again and of course ended up being double charged. I was really annoyed about this, especially so close to Christmas BUT I just bombarded them with messages (theres no customer care number) - Its worth noting I didn't just use their customer care help box, I emailed them directly at 'email@example.com' They are only open Monday-Fridays, normal working hours so don't expect a reply very quickly but I did get a reply within a couple of days and the money was instantly refunded. I checked my account and it went in the day they had emailed.
I think Missguided can be a handy website to use BUT you have to approach it cautiously/sensibly - do not order from it if you HAVE to have the item delivered within a certain time-frame and if you have a problem make sure you are proactive and follow it up and they will respond. (Btw threatening to contact Trading Standards always helps).
It seems like a lot of people have had terrible experiences but for me the majority of my orders have come super-quickly and the products have been great.
