Just before Christmas I came across Orbit Prints website and decided to take them up on their 60% off sale and purchase two square canvas’s as Christmas gifts. A week late I received an email and a text to notify me that there was a problem with my order and it was being held, I contacted them by telephone the very next day and spoke to a very rude representative who was far from accommodating. Basically I was informed that my order was being held as the photo I had provided when printed on the square canvases would require severe crops to it. In order to solve this problem the company wanted me to upgrade my canvases to landscape sizes at additional costs, now what I didn’t agree with is that the company’s offers had changed so effectively it was more money than it should have been to upscale the canvases, had their quality checked on their website told me this then I would of ordered landscape sizes. I was informed that they would not honour the 60% off and that I would have to pay the difference on the current offer. So I then asked to cancel my order and I was told it would cost me £6.00 to do so!! That’s disgusting!!
£6.00 is a lot of money and I am not in the habit of wasting mine so I upgraded one canvas to a landscape size and paid for delivery (delivery was originally free when I made the initial order as it was over £25). I received one canvass and it was of lovely quality but I did take my custom elsewhere and went on to order four more canvases. The customer service I received from this company was appalling it gave me the impression all they wanted was to make more money out of me one way or another, if it wasn’t the charge for upgrading my canvases at different price than my original order it was the charge to cancel then the charge for delivery for changing my order…too much agro and I came away from my discussion’s with them just feeling fobbed off. To consider this company took a whole week to place my order on hold because of quality issues over the photo I uploaded to their website is wrong, obviously the image checker on their website isnt that great at checking! And I add to you that other websites I used to buy canvases didn’t have problems with the exact same photo I uploaded too orbit print.
