Chocolate Now!

Chocolates were good but I will never order from them again!!!

I ordered chocolates for my father for his Birthday at the beginning of December. It looked like such a great place that I ordered a larger order to be shipped just before Christmas. Two weeks before Christmas my Mum called and said the second box had already arrived. Hardly "just before Christmas" as I had requested. I wrote to them as instructed if I was unhappy and got a auto reply saying they are already closed for Christmas and won't return until Jan 2nd. What a bunch of bs. They could have said that on their website that they close that far before Christmas and therefore all orders would be shipped well in advance of Christmas. I would have NEVER ordered from them and would have ordered a hamper instead as I have in past years. I will NEVER order from this company again.

Hi Mary,
I'm very sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with our service.
Due to extensive flooding throughout the UK, there was significant disruption to all delivery services. We therefore sent all "Xmas" items one week before the recommended last posting date for Christmas (which was 20th December this year), to ensure that everyone received their gifts before Christmas. It appears that your order was one of the few unaffected by this disruption, so it arrived earlier than planned. If you required delivery on a specific date, this option was available on our website, by selecting one of the premium delivery services.
Our Christmas shutdown is timed to coincide with a period when there are no delivery services available in the UK, and no one is placing orders. Because of the way Christmas falls in 2012, this was one day earlier than normal this year.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
