As I work weekdays I expect to miss parcels at home, and generally arrange to collect them at the local courier depot.
Got home on Monday 10th December and i had a "Sorry we missed you" note hanging out of my letterbox. Called the 0844 number and arranged collection at the DPD Peterborough depot for Saturday 15th.
My car was at the garage getting fixed so I had to use Taxi's & Buses to get to Peterborough. It's not fun when I live a 45min drive away from Peterborough. So after a 2hour journey I get to the depot only to find out that "they had sent the Parcel back to the sender."
So as well as being £34 out of pocket I also have no parcel, and 0844 not being a local rate number the 12mins I was on call to DPD to arrange collection I was also charged for.
I end up with a bill bigger than the parcel cost me, and STILL NO PARCEL!!!!!!
