When it came to refunding the difference between the suite that we were downgraded from (due to double booking) we were overcharged for the downgrade. Twice I pointed this out to Agoda via email and they never even bothered to respond.
This was just one Agoda experience on our recent trip of SEAsia.
Four of the seven or so hotels that we stayed in, had no record of our booking.
I'm also not sure how they award Stars to the hotels. We stayed at a Hotel in Bangkok that Agoda rated a four star and it didnt even deserve two stars. People should read the reviews rather than take note of the stars - most of the reviews for said hotel were very poor, but Agoda still gives them four stars.
