Ordered Canon 6D body by phone as advertised on website (this will be relevant later) + 2 day Express Delivery. Somewhat pushy salesman (yes, I bought the extended warranty too) (over)charged me by £40 for “absolutely guaranteed” 2-day delivery (difference later refunded when I finally got through again to query delivery price on website). 5 days later, and the day before leaving for photographic holiday, I called to find out where it was. Eventually got through and told “it hasn’t left the US yet”. It arrived when I was away. Came back to discover there are in fact two Canon 6D models. One with Wifi feature (WG), and one without (N). That feature was one of the reasons I bought it. Eventually (prepare for long phone holds) got through to explain problem (their website has now been modified. To be fair, Canon don’t make this clear either). After a bit of a tussle they agreed to replace it, although shipping back the 6D (N) to their UK address was at my cost. The 6D (WG) is also more expensive than the (N), so in compensation for my inconvenience they agreed to waive the difference. That was two weeks ago. I also told them that the extended battery they sold me wasn’t fully compatible with the Canon (no information about charge level getting to the camera). They said they’d replace that too. I then started getting calls from someone called Simon demanding I change my review rating BEFORE he would send the replacement (they had received the (N) by then). He even said if I did he would include a memory card (not received by the way). I didn’t take kindly to this approach as you might imagine (especially since they had my money), so waited until today when I finally received the 6D (WG)! No compatible extended life battery, no SD card (but I wasn’t expecting that after Simon and I fell out on the phone after he called to say he had evidence I had received it and was pressurising me again to change my review. He had mistakenly looked at the previous delivery status). So here’s my 'eagerly anticipated' update, warts and all. The company does supply low cost camera equipment, and they do eventually sort out problems you might have. But they were never proactive in informing me it was going to be late, and they upset me when they tried to force my hand in updating this review. And they still owe me a battery that works properly (forget the SD card bribe, Simon. We British respond better to basic courtesy and being kept informed).
