After discovering that the wireless part of my mums router supplied by talk talk over 4 years ago did not work, i requested a new one, instead they sent round an "engineer" to look at, he said if we want a new router it will cost £100 and the current one worked okay (although she needed a new one for a Kindle- wireless), after this and a few calls we cancelled (after being told there was no current contract) and went with plus net who seem fine. After a week or two she received a bill for £180 for cancelling, asking them to define why there is such a charge is impossible, they try to bully a 75 year old for £180 she does not owe as she had no contract (also the account had been in my recently deceased father name) who they keep sending letters to despite being advised that has died.
I also have a talk talk account, that i will now cancel.
