I'm waiting on some weight lifting type powder. Parcelforce was the company supposed to be delivering it. Actually the company said Royal Mail so they lied and used parcelforce instead. Apparently I refused delivery, to my door, when I was in all day.
This seems to be a tactic of the crappy delivery companies to not show up at all and claim that the parcel was refused. That way they don't even have to bother driving to the address to leave a calling card. Myhermes did the same. I have contacted the company to rearrange delivery, but am just going to get them to refund it instead as they lied to me about which company would be delivering the parcel.
I refused the order apparently according to their stellar online report. They were supposed to text me within one hour of it arriving -didn't happen, they were supposed to leave a card if they couldn't deliver- didn't happen, they were supposed to try to deliver- didn't happen. Although I don't know whether they have actually slung it in the bin or something. I am very confused here!
Well I'm the latest in the list of unhappy campers. I've been waiting all day and upon looking for their tracking details online saw that it had been in the van in lichfield since 08:18. I came across this website after trying to contact them with no success and on the back of all this negative opinion called and asked Amazon to change over to Royal mail for this order. Unfortunately Amazon said that couriers were chosen at random and offered to call the company for me They could not get ahold of HDNL/Yodel any better than I could, but assured me that it was in their best interest to deliver ontime as their drivers get paid less if they do not deliver on time. Well from what I have seen on here they must be balancing the books somehow because their delivery times are all over the place.
Anyway imagine my surprise when the Yodel delivery page I have been refreshing all day to see if anything has changed at 20:57 suddenly says: " Delivery attempted, call card left Lichfield van 22nd Dec 2012 08:48"!! This is news to me as I didn't see the card and the website didn't confirm it until less that ten minutes ago.
I guess that somebody couldn't be bothered and just updated the system with false information at the end of their shift either that or the van went back in time and the driver posted an invisible/intangible card through my front door. My what a wondrous age we must live in!!
