I've been eye-balling PC Specialist for months before finally deciding to take the plunge and purchase a 17.3" i7 laptop from them. This is a summary of my experience:
Value for money: this is really what most people care about and, to this end, PC Specialist delivers. The laptop I bought was a 17.3" quad core i7 (3630qm) with 12gb ram, 128gb ssd, and dedicated 2gb gtx 660m video card. As of December 2012, you'll be hard-pressed to find an equivalent machine for under £900 (incl. VAT and delivery), which is what I paid.
Service: customer service is amazing. This company kept me updated on my order every step of the way. In fact, I even contacted them several times to discuss how I could upgrade the machine AFTER they deliver it to me (I have spare ram and another ssd drive I'd like to install myself). The laptop arrived a couple days BEFORE the estimated delivery time via courier. It also comes with a 1 yr collect and return, 1 yr parts and 3 yr labor warranty as well as a 1 yr dead pixel warranty included in the price. Since I've just recently purchased the laptop, I can't really say much about their warranty service, but come on, having those warranties included in the price to begin with gives me peace of mind (again, this goes back to "value for money").
Assuming their after market care is as good as it currently is over the next 3yrs (when I intend to replace this machine), I won't hesitate to buy from them again. In fact, I've even talked a couple of my friends into seriously considering PC Specialist for their next purchase(s).
