Be warned they are rip off merchants !!

From the start I experienced issues and a blatant attempt to rip me off on my trade in value, online I was offered £151.00 for a white iPhone 4 16gb in 'Good' condition, despite my phone being in near perfect condition (no visible signs of damage or indeed wear) I decided to classify my iPhone as 'good' condition as it had been used.

On the website it defined 'good' condition for an iphone 4 as being "Good - it has some very minor marks, scuffs blemishes or scratches and cracks to the docking area not exceeding 5mm". Yet despite my phone being in clear accordance with this own classification they downgraded my estimate to £135.90 on the basis that the phone had light scratches to the front, which it didn't but nonetheless even if it had scratches to the front it would still accorded with the condition guide provided.

I challenged this downgrade and was reassured that a 'senior engineer' would evaluate my phone and sure enough the subsequent conclusion was that it had minor scratches to the front and therefore lower price still stood.

Needless to say I challenged this again, and again and again ! before I finally came across someone with common sense and who rightly offered my the full valuation.

It then took circa 9 days to receive this instant bank transfer from them, i.e. a bank transfer that typically happens within 2-3 hours maximum after being sent. Again I had to chase this by ringing in to find out why I still had received this outstanding payment due.

Therefore in conclusion it is clear that from the start the intention was to rip me off by unfairly and unjustly reducing the trade in price from what was offered, and then when the full price was finally offered they deliberately delayed payment for as long as possible.

You have been warned...!!!

Hi Chris,

As discussed on the phone I can only apologies for the delay in processing your order and that it is not standard practice to downgrade devices received. We received your iPhone 4 which did have scratches to the front of the device however we did re-inspect the device and honour the original quote.

Regards,
