Complete and Utter Joke - Avoid at all costs

I had the misfortune of coming across DPD after upgrading my mobile phone (Three network).
Was told of next day delivery on Friday, waited and waited on the day and nothing ever came.
Checked on the same night with tracking number and to my shock and horror, the parcel had been deliverred (at a time I was in!) and signed for by someone using my surname! (how convenient!).
Anyway called Three first thing Saturday, advised them if not receiving the parcel or anyone else in the house for that matter. An investigation was then started..
Called Three on Monday (myself) and was asked if I had checked with the neighbours and other members of the family, Once again repeated niether myself or other members of the family had received it and why would the neighbours have it?! (not that they had dropped it off if it had been delivered to them). Of course they had been in touch with DPD, and between themselves ascertained that there are multiple members registered in my household and if id checked with ALL of them?!?! Again I repeated myself that NO ONE had received the parcel. I managed to get a 'contact' number for DPD, which turned out to be an automated service, one of the options advises you to go back to the product company!
Anyway after searching the internet, and finding other customers with similar experiences, i found a contact number, and directed to the customer services department - who simply said I cannot do anything and any investigation and communication is handled between themselves and Three!
So in summary you will be used a pawn between the product sender and DPD, have no say in it at all, be treated as a potential fraudster, then suffer from the incompotency at best, and fraud at worst of the DPD delivery drivers.
The best alternative? Anyone else.
What am I left with? nothing on the day before Christmas!
