I've so far placed orders for parts from scan that has a total cost of in the thousands and I have yet to have a problem with their service.
I'll be honest and say that their email contact for customer service is a little confusing at times but if you ring them up then any problems that I've had have always been resolved quickly.
The first order I ever had from them had a faulty fan and scan paid for the postage for it to be sent back and two days later a new one turned up in the post. I really can't complain.
I've seen a few bad reviews on here but they always seem to be about returns. As I've yet to return anything then I can't comment on that side of the service. All I would say is read the reviews and make your own opinion as from what I've read I don't think It's always scan's fault. If at all their fault. Just bad customers.
I would Highly Recommend using scan.
I personally wouldn't recommend this company. I ordered a Christmas present for my girlfriend off them and it turned up the day before Christmas. I chose the postage option that I did because the dates on the website specified that item would get there in time for Christmas. I didn't realise in time for Christmas meant Christmas eve.
The thing that annoyed me the most though was that it took them a week to dispatch the item and they sent it next day delivery even though I'd not paid for it. Now why couldn't that have done that at some point in the week before? Also the tracking section on their website could do with improving so that when you put your item code in if it hasn't been distapched then it says that... rather than item not found. When I queried this by email all I got back was a email with a link to the page where I had already been and not been able to get any information off. This wasn't helpful in the slightest.
Also when the tracking did eventually work it said that delivery would be between the 24th and 26th. That to me is not guraranteed before christmas. because of that I went out and had to spend more money to buy a present incase the one I wanted to give my girlfriend didn't turn up. When I email about this it took 2 days to reply byt which time I'd already been out and the parcel had been delivered. All I got in the email was that the courier has delivered the parcel. Thats again nothing to do with what I originally sent the email about which was the fact that the courier had listed the delivery as from 8am on the 24th to 23:59 on the 26th.
Sadly I don't think I'll be buying from here again as I didn't have a great first expierence. I also wont be recommending it to anyone anytime soon.
