My nephew and his fiancee will be in London just after Christmas. So I decided to buy them a Big Bus Tour for their Christmas present. This proved to be painful. Apparently you need to show the credit card that purchased the tickets before being guaranteed entry onto the bus. So I had to send an email to Big Bus Tours letting them know my nephew's details and that it was OK to let him on the bus, instead of me! And he has to take a copy of the email with him as well as the on-line ticket. What? I find this a ridiculous rigmarole. I have purchased full day tours for other people before and none of this was required.
The Big Bus Tour was recommended - so hopefully their experience will make up for the initial difficulties.
