Appauling 'service' if you can call it that!

A friend of mine sent me a present for Christmas which she sent special delivery. She found out when I would be in so specified a time with an additional charge to arrive on Christmas eve. I was in .....DPD chose not to ring my doorbell or knock on the door, but just put a slip through my door saying I was not in.

I tried ringing the number on the slip to see if I could catch someone still in the area, but there is no option to speak to someone, so I had to do the automated service for it to be re-delivered today.

My friend was upset when she got an email from the company she sent the gift from saying I wasn't in as she had gone to a special effort for me to get the gift on Christmas eve. The next opportunity being today (27.12.12) for delivery.

The same thing has just happenned AGAIN! ....THEY DIDN'T EVEN RING THE DOORBELL OR KNOCK when I am clearly in as 2 cars are parked right outside my home in my private parking area.

I can't keep doing this! I don't know what to do? Why should I drive 20 miles to the depot? .....It's wrong!

DPD is absolutely RUBBISH!
