I paid for tv aerial and installation on 9th Dec. I telephoned and made an appt. for installation, the installation company could not give me a slot and I was told engineer could turn up any time in the afternoon on the given day. The installers contacted me day before and cancelled the install due to lack of staff; engineer had gone off sick. We arranged for Thurs. 27th, i have taken the day off work, unpaid, to wait for installers and at 2 o'clock i get a call to say the engineer won't be coming he has gone off sick, i asked to speak to the manager and was told that i couldn't and that if i was put on hold i may get cut off after 2 minutes, after much persuasion on my part i was put on hold and 5 minutes later the manager came on the line, he said that he would try to sort out my querie and get an engineer to install today but was unable to and offered me an appointment for Sat. 5th Jan. I shall accept this appointment (watch this space!) but will not be spending any more money with Argos as their choice in Installation Companies is very unprofessional and needs to be changed.
WELL Saturday morning the engineer turned up pronto. A very nice chap who installed my aerial without any hiccups. I also received a phone call from the service manager to make sure the engineer had turned up and that i was happy with the installation. Shame really...why couldn't they have done this the first time round?
