Ordered an item on 9th December, shown as in stock and available for delivery in 3-5 days. After 5 days, there was no sign of the item even being dispatched and I had to send a query asking when it would be delivered. After a further 4 days, I finally received a response to say the item was out of stock and could not be guaranteed in time for Christmas.
I then tried to cancel the order as I had to buy it elsewhere, but was unable to do so online as it had been ordered as part of a 3 for £20 deal... so had to send another email to customer services on the 18th of December asking how this could be done. Having had no response or acknowledgement by the 27th of December, I had to send yet another mail to chase. A response was received on 28th December cancelling the item, but also including very patronising instructions on how to cancel an order online - which I had already tried to do, but was not possible as the item was part of the deal... the person responding had clearly not read any part of my original mail where this was explained.
This is the second Christmas running that items shown as in stock when ordered were actually no longer in stock, and had to be bought elsewhere at the last minute (despite being ordered several weeks before December 25th). That, on top of the very slow responses to queries, means I will likely never use IWOOT again, and advise others to think very carefully before ordering from their website.
