I was a bit nervous initially but the process turned out to be quite straightforward. I ordered four pairs of specs on approval and they arrived a couple of days later. I chose the two pairs I wanted and returned all four "trial" pairs in the freepost box.
I then ordered the two pairs I wanted and they arrived a few days later. I'm really pleased with my purchase. Admittedly my prescription is very simple (single vision lenses) .... so I can't say what more complex lenses would be like .... but mine are fine. My only gripe is that there are a couple of extras that you pay for (e.g. hard anti scratch coating for the lenses) - the two for one offer is on the FRAMES only and then VAT is added at the end. It would be better if ALL the charges were up front at the start.
Still pretty happy though .... my two pairs of designer name specs cost me £72.
In early December I ordered a DVD Collection for delivery to a close friend as a Christmas present with instructions that it should be delivered straight to their address.
I received a confirmation email from The Hut advising that the expected delivery date would be December 12th.
The gift has still not been delivered .... and today is the 29th December. I have also not been informed of any delay in delivery, or unavailability of the item. In fact there has been no correspondence whatsoever apart from the original reassuring confirmation.
I cannot therefore recommend the service from The Hut. I would advise that you shop elsewhere with a more reliable retailer.
