I received an e-mail and a text message to tell me my parcel would be delivered yesterday. By 3 pm nothing - no updates and website tracking shows parcel still at depot. Called customer service and after they called the depot was told they couldn't find the parcel so driver must have taken it for delivery but hadn't scanned it out so should be delivered later in the afternoon.
Nothing arrived so I called this morning and was told that they were waiting for information on parcel so I should call back after 11 which I did. Told that parcel will be delivered Monday now but I don't hold out any hope. Apparently the package nly arrived at my local depot at 4 am. This is apparently too late to get it on the van for that day and that really it's all the fault of the company I bought from. Strangely though it was DPD sent me an email and a text claiming the parcel would definitely be delivered yesterday. If they knew it wasn't going to be delivered I could have easily been informed, but no I have to wait in all day.
Truly useless. I shall think twice about ordering from any company that uses DPD on a regular basis. As they couldn't find my parcel at the depot yesterday, I'm not convinced they haven't actually lost it. Do not promise what you have no hope of delivering
