Useless and won't return your money even though the fault was theirs.
I booked a parcel to go to Australia and they were fully informed of the content which were personal goods to my daughter who has recently emigrated. I checked on both their site and the Australian customs site and there was nothing in my parcel that was on the prohibited or restrictive goods lists.
Parcel2go booked my parcel through one of their associates fed-ex to be picked up on the 17th December and the £96 fee was taken from my bank account on the 15th December.
An email was received from parcel2go on the 17th saying they had cancelled the courier pick up because neither parcel2go nor their associates would carry personal effects to Australia.
Seeing as they had accepted the order, knew the contents and took payment, I was confused so requested further information to which they then replied that the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service will not allow personal effects into the country.
THIS IS A LOAD OF RUBBISH!
I contacted the Australian Customs just to confirm their position on the import of personal effects. Providing the goods being sent are not on the restrictive or prohibited list then they do allow personal goods into Australia. They also commented I should look into sending my goods by another courier!
To add insult to injury following further emails to parcel2go I was then informed that to obtain a refund my case had to go to a refund co-ordinator who would review the request and either approve/reject it!
The fault is theirs they agreed to a service and subsequently failed to provide this.
Their aim is to make a refund within two days and TWO WEEKS LATER I AM STILL WAITING!
There has been no contact from them since I advised that I would look in to taking further legal advice if they did not refund my £96 immediately. I can't afford to lose that amount of money.
